Ffestiniog
Slate Wagon |

.jpg)
|
The
Ffestiniog Railway alone had 1,095 of them and other similar wagons were
used by quarry systems throughout the principality. Many railways and
quarries also had various slate wagons abandoned in the undergrowth...
No garden railway is complete without a few of these!

Croesor
Sheet Iron Wagon |
 |
The
sheet iron wagon was used to carry slate waste and materials on the Croesor
Tramway in North Wales. This railway was later incorporated into the Welsh
Highland Railway, so this wagon will go well with any NWNGR, WHR or Ffestiniog
prototypes.

LNWR (2ft
Gauge) Coal Wagon |
 |
A typical
industrial narrow gauge wagon, based on an LNWR prototype, in this case
made for carrying coal. The model has wood moulded sides with a metal
moulded end door. This is the kind of wagon likely to be seen sitting
in a siding in the corner of a railway and could be used for storing or
containing all kinds of materials.

Timber Bolster (2 needed for set) |
 |
A common
sight on narrow gauge railways worldwide, the timber bolster was used
to carry large logs and tree trunks, although could also be used to carry
other materials such as pipes or rail. Used in pairs, the materials would
be laid between the two wagons and secured with ropes or chains. This
model, is of good solid construction and complements well the other wagons
in the range. It can alternatively be constructed without the bolster,
making a small open wagon.
